Why Host a Tea?
A Charming Ritual
Through all the seasons of life, it is your friends and family who bring you through. What would we do without them? Chosen sisters who laugh with you, cry with you, and speak truth to you. And what better way to celebrate the warmth and intimacy of beautiful friendships than with the warmest and most intimate of celebrations, a tea. Afternoon Teas are an excellent way to entertain elegantly. They are cost effective, yet can be elegant and formal. The serving of tea is magical and a unique experience to share with friends you love. New friends and old, fun friends and friends in need, big groups of friends and family friends. Hosting a tea helps celebrate in your heart and in your home, the special friends who love and support you, who teach you and learn from you, who bring a special brightness to your good years and are there during difficult times.
"I cannot begin to thank you for such a wonderful presentation amongst friends at my birthday. It was perfect. You did such a marvellous job presenting everything. What a talent!"
... Lynda R.Some of us might reminisce the enjoyment of a childhood tea party, in honour of our favourite doll, plush animals and pets with warmth and affection. As adults, we draw inspiration from these memories when we lay out an elegant table with fine china, silver and beautiful linen, while proudly observing our guests delight in the abundance of the fare served, accompanied by pots of aromatic tea.
So why host an Afternoon Tea? The great joy of the tea party is its total flexibility and adaptability to all manner of events, for all people of all ages. Tea parties will always hold a place in the memory of those who were present. Tea parties may be themed to suit the season, or for special occasions. Taking tea in the afternoon once was, and still is a fashionable thing to do.
